wow, what a super trimmer!! Works super, easy starts, easy to change string, It doesn't break your back, as no bending. we had a weedeater prior to this one and ran sucessfully for 8 years. I have very good luck with weedeater product as i own 2 mowers, and they do a super job also. You folks just keep these great products comming. May 2, 2012
More time changing line than trimming Shame on me for not paying more attention to the description on the weedeater box. I simply thought I was buying a trimmer. What I failed to notice is this particular model no longer features the "tap and go head." Instead it comes with a piece of line about 12" long. Granted, there are two cutting lines compared to one, however, I spend too much time installing another piece of line (not to mention the cost of a package of 20 more). I just miss buying a large spool of line that last for years. But, I'm sure weedeater enjoys me paying far more for line. Its going to be sold and a long time weedeater customer is going to change brands. May 1, 2012
This product only quality is it is very light worst money spent. It stall alot, easy to flood, when giving it gas it cuts off April 30, 2012
Recently Bought! I recently bought the sst25c. I got it home put it together, mixed the gas to the specifications and tried to start. Easy start... I think not. The thing will not start up at all. I'm not happy about this. I would not recommend buying this weed trimmer. In fact I will never buy a weed eater ever again. April 27, 2012
Similar problem Purchased weedeater products in past very satisfied with those items. This unit,SST25C I am very unhappy with. It will start then immeditely shut off like no-fuel or something. Anyway my grass continues to grow and i am debating on weather to get another weed eater or exactly what I am going to do. Very disappointed. April 17, 2012
Easy Peesy This trimmer has all the capabilities of more expensive models and the ease of use is extremely appreciated. It is light weight and easy to start. Handling this trimmer was no problem and at first I was dissapointed that it had no strap but after further use it isnt there because you dont need it because it is so light weight. April 16, 2012
Please tell me how to return this unit All, I purchased this Weed Eater on March 10. We tried using it ONCE- it would start but would not continue to run. I brought it to your "certified" repair shop - Strickland's in DeLand, FL and PAID to have it fixed. We just got it back - and tried to use it this past Friday 4/13 - and ended up having the same issue. This unit started but after no more than 5 minutes stalled out and would not restart. I'd like to return it. It's not worth the $93.69 I've paid for it. I'd like my money back - please advise. April 15, 2012
Horrible design This is my 3rd Weedeater brand trimmer that I have purchased. It is easy to put together and the price is nice, but from there is goes down hill fast. I prime the bulb up as directed and on the first pull of the string my knuckle catches the hard plastic that has a sharp edge on it scraping off a nice piece of skin. I chalk this up to operator error and continue to drive on. It starts after about 10 pulls and a few extra pumps on the primer. It runs nice and smooth and cuts well, but the debris from the counter clockwise rotation and me being right hand dominate along with the lack of any effectiveness from the shield down low makes it difficult to want to use this trimmer. I have a fairly small yard with a wood fence and had to stop 3 times to replace the small piece of string that comes with the trimmer. I do not recommend this particular trimmer to anyone and I can only hope that this is not the direction the Weedeater brand is headed. If so, you have lost this consumer! April 11, 2012
